The Pipeline Modernization and Consumer Protection Act would require gas pipeline facilities to accelerate the repair, rehabilitation, and replacement of high-risk pipelines.

Regulatory oversight jeopardizes gas export approvals.

Together, these bills would begin to plug natural gas pipeline leaks, create jobs for workers to repair them, save consumers money due to less wasted gas, and cut climate pollution.

Gas companies have little incentive to replace these leaky pipes, which span about 91,000 miles across 46 states.
