The American people expect us to govern responsibly and to make decisions that will keep our country safe, prosperous, and free.

We need a strong economy to support a strong defense. Economic strength and national security go hand in hand.

We must never lose sight of the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. They deserve our unwavering support and the best resources we can provide.

We cannot afford to weaken our military or compromise on national security. Every decision we make must be with the intent to keep America safe and strong.

Supporting our veterans is not just a duty, it’s a promise. We must ensure they have the resources and respect they deserve after serving our nation.

I have a hard time with restraining my temper when I hear nonsense like this in the 21st century.

We need to work harder at fulfilling all of our obligations to you.
