I’m proud that the Senate unanimously passed my Secure Space Act, legislation that blocks satellite licenses for untrusted entities and protects our skies from foreign adversaries.

As satellite technology continues to advance, so do the threats to our national security, and we must act swiftly to safeguard our critical infrastructure.

This must stop. The Immigration Warrant Reform Act will help prevent these due process violations while ensuring noncitizens who present a threat to public safety are not released.

It’s clear that the Republicans who are in control of Congress have failed to do so, and it is time to change course.

This is a direct result of Republicans’ decision to remove eligibility, permit ACA subsidies to lapse, and allow critical tax credits to expire.

Costs are only going up - and faster - because of their policies.

Donald Trump and Republicans ran in 2024 on addressing inflation and bringing costs down. They misled American families.

Their careers should never be threatened because they weren’t properly informed about which medications they’re allowed to take, or simply sought the mental health care they need.

We are committed to doing what’s needed to get this across the finish line in this Congress.

Getting that right has to matter more than election-year deadlines.

We are talking about major changes to how America builds energy and infrastructure.

Rushing that process isn’t just unhelpful, it could sabotage the entire effort.

Our goal is to deliver for Americans struggling to pay their utility bills.

To be clear: permitting negotiations are ongoing, many of the major hurdles have been overcome, and we believe there is a good deal to be had.

This damage and uncertainty will only hurt student populations that federal funding intended to support.

We know high-quality education has the ability to raise families out of poverty and meaningfully improve future earnings.

Schools and other grant recipients need a meaningful degree of certainty to properly plan their budgets and provide services to students.

This proposed rule is unnecessarily broad and vague, would undermine the stability of educational programs, and does nothing to improve educational outcomes for students.

It’s just plain wrong, and I’m proud that our commonsense proposal passed the House and is one step closer to giving victims the relief they deserve.

If you’ve been scammed out of your hard-earned savings or lost everything in a disaster, you shouldn’t then get stuck with a tax bill for money you don’t have.

On top of all of this, the Trump administration and Congressional Republicans undermining bipartisan budget agreements like this will only lead to more wasteful government shutdowns, when one side breaks the deal months later.

My Republican colleagues, who wrote and voted for this very law, need to stand up for the families and stop this President from illegally taking their money.

President Trump knows well what the law says – the one I wrote with my Republican colleagues – but he is blatantly breaking it and stealing the money from the American people.

I feel deeply honored to receive this recognition and I’m thrilled to celebrate this new community space alongside residents and partners.
