The Court has put hundreds of thousands of people, including families living in Ohio, at risk of deportation back to dangerous and unstable conditions.

Grateful to be able to continue to talk about the transformative impacts of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

We are also always concerned about the fact whether people are able to travel in and out of our State safely.

I am disappointed to see today that the witness table is missing a representative from Norfolk Southern.

It is clear that, through your investigation, additional questions have been raised about the actions of Norfolk Southern.

It has, as you all know, been over 1 year since the Norfolk Southern train derailment completely upended the East Palestine community.

We must additionally assure that rail corporations are fully held accountable for their actions that damage innocent communities and their lives.

While I was excited to hear that NTSB was successful in finding the root cause of this disastrous derailment, I was particularly disturbed with the contents of Chairwoman Homendy's closing remarks.

I have signed that letter with my colleague, Nikema Williams from Georgia, who is also very interested in making sure that we are holding corporate actors accountable.

I am really looking forward to having the conversation about the implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

We just last Friday brought the first EV charger that was funded by the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program online.

And we had a similar investment in the district with $4 million going to SARTA for the zero-emissions buses, which, again, is very exciting.

In 2007, 16 years ago, Congress directed that a national tire fuel efficiency consumer information program be established to educate consumers about the safety, durability and fuel efficiency of replacement tires.

The Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program is vitally important.

We need to address it through the adoption of a permanent program.

I was proud to lead a letter with Ranking Member Napolitano to the Appropriations Committee... requesting robust funding for those water infrastructure programs.

So, it is clear we need to hold up the spirit of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and keep investing in those critical programs, not just for my district but across the country.

One thing that has become very clear is how important the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is nationwide, not just in my community in Ohio's 13th Congressional District.

There truly is an affordability crisis in this country.

We are all concerned about it. I hear my community members talk about inflation and water.

Representative Nikema Williams of Georgia and I introduced a bill to ensure funding for environmentally friendly water infrastructure projects.

I am concerned about our congressional response to rail safety. And so far, it has been shameful and, quite frankly, disrespectful to the people of northeast Ohio and those who live in East Palestine.

I think it is really incumbent upon our leaders to pay attention to when special interests are asking for exceptions from truck size and weights.
