Sherrod Campbell Brown is an American politician currently serving as the senior United States senator from Ohio, a position he has held since January 4, 2007. A member of the Democratic Party, Brown previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 3, 1993, to January 3, 2007. Throughout his career, he has been a strong advocate for workers' rights and has focused on issues such as healthcare, job creation, and economic equality. Brown has been known for his commitment to representing the interests of Ohio workers in the Senate.
I didn't plan to run for office again. But when I see what's going on, I know I can do something about it for Ohio.
But ultimately, because Ohio doesn’t have anybody in the Senate advocating for Ohio workers, I came down on that decision.
That's why I'm running for Senate, because even in these challenging times, I still believe if you stand up for workers, treat people with respect, and always fight for Ohio, you can actually make a difference.
The decision was mine and Connie’s, and it was a hard decision, because I think I could do good work in either place.
