U.S. Lieutenant Governors

What I don’t want to see is the criminalization of our immigrant neighbors. I don’t want to see racial profiling of Black and brown people. I don’t want to see people killed by an agency that is paid for with our tax dollars. It is not OK.

It has caused chaos. It has caused a trade war with our allies, and that is not the kind of leadership we need. And it’s why I’m going to hold this president accountable.

I will be a check on this president.

Twenty-five years after 9/11, we have an opportunity to remember not only the terrible loss our country experienced, but also what happened next — Americans from every background stepped forward to help one another.

They swore an oath to serve this country and protect the American people. Now they’re abandoning FEMA’s mission and telling Americans in states across the country to fend for themselves.

And frankly, there are more people in the state of Minnesota who understand that they are being squeezed, and when the response to that pain from my opponent is to say that people should take one less trip to Starbucks and keep a stiff…

I’ve always been underestimated, and that’s OK. That just means I work a little bit harder.

If the feds were serious about this, they would have done this long ago — not in the middle of people voting, which inherently and needlessly sows distrust and doubt in our democracy.

Today’s ribbon cutting marks more than the completion of a building. It represents a new chapter in how North Dakota protects the health of its people and environment.

I'm going to get there with my friend Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. And we are going to power map the s--t out of the U.S. Senate and figure out how to build power for the things that we know that we deserve and the things that we need.

We’re not going to prison. No. It’s silly.

We just weren’t given very good answers, and we were concerned about what they would do with that data.

But now we also have threats coming from within our own government.

Candidates who lose can do so much good by graciously conceding. That will instill confidence in the public.

I have to tell myself it doesn't matter what the consequences are, as long as I feel like I'm doing what's right. I think this is an important thing for me to do, holding these guard rails, holding the line. Someone has to.

In the past two elections that I oversaw as lieutenant governor, the threats were all external: non-state actors, cyber security threats and other things. But now we also have threats coming from within our own government.

Minnesotans are smarter than this new version of Michele Tafoya who has shown up in the final weeks of this campaign. Give me a break.

The last thing survivors need is unnecessary red tape, delays, and barriers standing between them and the relief they deserve.

A totally unprecedented request that should scare the hell out of every American.

The courts have made clear that the federal government has no role in how a state carries out its election process.

I urge the public to support Ho‘opono Services for the Blind and its mission to raise awareness of the white cane and its significance.

Secure Rural Schools funding is a commitment the federal government made to Idaho’s rural counties, helping them maintain roads, schools and other essential services.

The mayor and I are great partners, we’re working hard together.
