We are experiencing Black joy at the highest level. And I wanted to make sure we document that at the congressional level.

These are the races that will make a difference in your neighborhood and the seats we have to win.

These aren’t the candidates that end up on national TV to make headlines, but they are the ones who make decisions about our healthcare, housing, and economy.

Candidates who will get to work immediately to lower their prices, stop the attacks on our civil rights, and deliver results.

These endorsements reflect candidates who have committed to showing up and fighting for their voters.

I am requesting an investigation into recent deaths in Mississippi - including that of Tasia Fortune - calling them possible cases of modern-day lynchings.

I frankly stopped doing as many TV interviews because I don’t want to talk about the race, to be perfectly honest.

There are those that believe I have an underground railroad popping off in Texas, and that I’ve been telling all the Black folk on the underground railroad, ‘Don’t do this or don’t do that,’ and it’s so far from the truth.

I personally don’t feel like the excitement necessarily exists within the Black community.

Black voters are practical. So at the end of the day, I don’t know that they’re going to have to be the most excited. But I will tell you that you always want voters to be excited.

I believe that the primary between me and Talarico was a racist race.

I think that there is excitement from black voters in Texas this cycle.

I will be campaigning downballot.

Republicans ran up the tab, handed billionaires another tax break, and now wanna lecture working families about ‘fiscal responsibility’. You can’t max out the card AND pretend you’re the accountant. Pick a struggle.

It might be uncomfortable for some people on this committee to hear about the true history of America, and I hate that for them.

So, this Fourth of July, I say celebrate a Black woman that you know, because whether it's an invention that she made, or whether it's the very democracy that still hangs by a thread right now, there is Black woman to thank for her…

When it comes to answering the question of what America owes Black women, the answer is everything.

I said as a senate candidate that I’d be focused on the down ballot and my plan to do that hasn’t changed.

I’ve not heard a bunch of kumbaya.

Black women, especially black women who have black male children, live in fear and agony every single day.

I’m not necessarily convinced — not that I could tell you the name of one person on this jury — that we had 12 impartial White folk out of Collin County sitting on a jury for this young black man.

The vast majority on that side of the aisle… are White men. White men are lecturing people of color because the vast majority, actually any semblance of diversity comes from this [Democratic] side of the aisle.
