When they are acting outside the scope of their legal authority, they are no different than anyone else and their conduct is subject to New York criminal laws, including felony assault.
Not only should this individual no longer work for the United States government, but the Department of Justice should aggressively enforce the criminal laws against him, consistent with the precedents set by this administration.
