This bill permanently expands SNAP eligibility to college students.

This bill would create USDA-funded, state-operated revolving funds that will issue low-interest loans for the operation of grocery stores in food deserts.

I have spent time putting on waders, going into the wetlands myself. I know it works.

Every single environmental advocate, every single farmer in our district is on board with this effort.

We don't want the same thing happening in California.

I was shocked and devastated and disappointed to see that the proposed budget that we are talking about today cuts the nutria eradication budget by almost 61 percent.

Obviously, we want to do everything we can to fix this before we become where we are on track to be, which is the first time in U.S. history that a community would be subject to penalties this severe.

During that 4 years, while EPA was reviewing what we do to improve our air quality, more than 4,000 adults had their lives cut short by poor air quality just in our region.

I refuse to let my daughter deal with the same air quality or even worse than what I did.

Frankly, if grades were any worse than F, we would have gone all the way to Z.

We would love to work with you to make sure that this effort is fully funded.

If we actually make reimbursement rates higher in medically underserved areas, if we make NIH research go more toward medically underserved areas, we can actually entice a lot of doctors and nurses to come to areas that are desperately…

If we wanted to address these workforce shortages, this is not going to be fixed by changes with HRSA.

This Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program is going to help address that, keep our doctors where they need to be.

I grew up with childhood asthma in my area.

Politics intervened, and that plan ended up getting rejected just last year, October 22nd.

This means that they received an F grade for both ozone and particulate pollution in a 24-hour period.

I want to thank Congressman Harder for introducing legislation to address the shortage of childcare providers in these key areas.

This is bipartisan, bicameral. We have enormous support around this, because it will lead to 10,000 physicians working in underserved communities in California over the next 10 years.

Can I at least get your commitment that you will do everything that you can to make sure the California and Texas doctors who meet all other PSLF requirements receive PSLF support?

I just really want to emphasize to you and to your team that the proposed fix does not fix this issue.

This disproportionately affects rural and underserved communities like mine.
