I stand here today beyond frustrated by the crisis in veterans' healthcare in my community. Right now, we have just four physicians and only two mental health clinicians trying to provide care for over 27,000 veterans in San Joaquin…

During that 4 years, while EPA was reviewing what we do to improve our air quality, more than 4,000 adults had their lives cut short by poor air quality just in our region.

I refuse to let my daughter deal with the same air quality or even worse than what I did.

Frankly, if grades were any worse than F, we would have gone all the way to Z.

I have spent time putting on waders, going into the wetlands myself. I know it works.

Obviously, we want to do everything we can to fix this before we become where we are on track to be, which is the first time in U.S. history that a community would be subject to penalties this severe.

We would love to work with you to make sure that this effort is fully funded.

I was shocked and devastated and disappointed to see that the proposed budget that we are talking about today cuts the nutria eradication budget by almost 61 percent.

Every single environmental advocate, every single farmer in our district is on board with this effort.

This Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program is going to help address that, keep our doctors where they need to be.
