I have to, unfortunately, contradict my colleague from Michigan, Mrs. Dingell, in that, in your opening statement, you mentioned that hunting deer in Michigan has not suffered under the wolf.

A species should not be delisted until it is recovered.

We need sincere people to actually change the way things happen, and not come here to tell us how hard you are working.

The way this is being done is a disaster.

There should be a long-term management of this with a regular board, just like proposed for the VA.

I just find it very disconcerting to even hear that this stuff is going on.

Frankly, Mrs. Noem was right, this sounds very much like the VA, you know, government-run healthcare. Sometimes it does not work.

I want to thank Mrs. Noem for bringing this to my attention. I, frankly, was not aware of the severity of the problem.

One of my complaints, to tell you the truth, Doctor, is the fact that the doctors have very little say in how the VA works.

There is just simply a lack of accountability, and the union works on behalf of the employee against the interest of the patient.

That shouldn't happen to anybody, right, Doctor?

I was able to change that in my district. We were able to get a director who was actually from the area.

So the whole system is rigged so that Mr. Dancy here, although he may want to stay here, if he wants to go anywhere with his career, he has got to move somewhere else.

Well, I am not exactly sure what is happening, but they are supposed to have put a hold on all bonuses.

It seems to me that usually if you have got a problem with your toe, that they usually do a vascular evaluation before they start operating on the toe.

When you call the VA, does it take a long time to get through?

Something needs to be done to help our veterans.

This is a crucial thing. I mean, I have had individuals talk to me about this very problem, you know, and they try to kill themselves in the parking lot of the VA because they couldn't get help.
