People should not have to pay the federal government $200 to exercise your Second Amendment rights.

Even a proposal that I advanced that wouldn't have raised taxes but would simply have required the filing of a tax form for alimony payments and generated $2 billion to protect our children was rejected.

In closing, please remember antisemitism is not just a threat to the Jewish community; it is a threat to our democracy.

Every member of this committee should be sickened by this. Every member of this committee should say so publicly.

I am proud that this committee passed that bill out of this committee by a vote of 41 to 0.

Congress has passed--the House has passed the Antisemitism Awareness Act, and I encourage you to support and pass the Countering Antisemitism Awareness Act.
