The first goal is to instill equity. We know that these DEI initiatives have had a discriminatory aspect in it.

We are concerned about the culture.

I have been in enough of these, and that is the expected answer from any Administrator--of course it is not in the policy.

How are we going to make sure that the government stays in check so that we can begin to restore the trust in the American people?

What are we doing to make sure that we don't threaten the licenses of medical professionals who are experts in the field that might have a different view?

What are we doing to make sure that we don't tread on people's civil rights again?

Well, I'm guessing like every other agency that makes a mistake or has failures in the Federal Government, they'll probably come and same, 'Well, we need more money and more authorities.'

There was a lot of understanding in the first couple of weeks that this was novel, and we had to figure it out.

I think we need to focus on the people.

I have learned in my time here that anytime there is a bill that basically is apple pie and puppy dogs and everything that we should really look into what is going on into this bill.

This affects less than 1 percent of our military... there are a whole lot of things we can do that would better help our military.

So if we know there are 300,000 criminal aliens, it is likely substantially higher.

What is the legal--like for somebody who is presenting legal documents how is the TSA like, saying you can't go on this flight?

I really appreciate all the work that law enforcement officers do. The last thing I want to do is cut law enforcement support. Trust me.
