We’re not helping ourselves today when we decide to rename Lake Ontario ‘Lake America.’

This is my bigger fear right now—people don’t go vote.

And what happens is that’ll impact me because . . . two things will either happen.

Because I’m telling you right now, I’m hearing it already.

It’s not a big beautiful reconciliation package, right?

I don’t think it’s a money issue. It’s actually figuring out what’s important, what the platform is, what technology is usable within the House network, and then executing on that.

The House needs to stay current or risk falling behind.

I urge the Committee in the strongest terms to take immediate action to address this new threat as it is happening.

It is also incumbent upon all of us to ensure the House is a safe and inclusive place to work for Members and staff.

Right now, we're all focused on making sure that this institution continues to function. And I think today we showed that we're tired of the chaos and the nonsense.

These measures will help streamline processes and improve the way the Congressional Research Service works on behalf of Congress.

This will eliminate the cost associated with printing a hardbound version, which according to CRS and GPO, would save just over a million dollars.

By prioritizing a more efficient Congress, we are saving taxpayer dollars.

Subcommittees can play an important role in the legislative process, and we are demonstrating that through our work here.

I think it is incredibly important that we have visibility and insight and transparency.

I worry, because we have seen an increase in crime in the metropolitan area, that--and we have seen carjackings.

I want to start by--you mentioned patrolling not only the Capitol complex but areas adjacent to it, particularly those that have a large number of Members living in them.

Tomorrow, the House Administration Subcommittee on Modernization will be marking up H.R. 7592 to remove the print requirement for the Annotated Constitution and pocket-part supplements.

I think that is the best news I have heard.

I think the focus for us is trying to find ways to utilize technology in a beneficial way.
