I think he should really bring the House back in session for many reasons.

This is supposed to be an oversight hearing of the Justice Department, and it comes in the wake of an indictment called for by the president of one of his enemies.

I think the politics are terrible.

Once again we have broken a new record with the lowest number of Southwest border apprehensions in 55 years.

With a shutdown, an out-of-control, power-grabbing executive, and ICE and the National Guard on the streets of Memphis, this is a time for the experience and institutional knowledge that I bring to the table.

Look, Democrats, you created this mess. Republicans, you have no solutions.

I would say: ‘Here are my problems. What can you do to help me? Work with me. Don’t just shove stuff down my throat,’

After five failed votes, it should be clear to Republicans that we cannot go forward unless they sit down and seriously negotiate with Democrats to address the health care crisis. It’s that simple.

All I can tell you is the American people feel very deeply about solving this health care crisis.

We want the same thing that a majority, an overwhelming majority, of Americans want, which is to end this shutdown and halt the health care crisis that will send premiums spiking for tens of millions of people.

Let’s get on it. They need to be brought in and we need to find out what their agenda is and why they are pushing this. Evil and demonic!

I think what is important is that we’re talking about health care, which is something that’s just foundational to every family I know.

This is outrageous. You got the White House undermining our democracy. Now you got the speaker of the House doing the same thing. I mean, this is all about a continuation of the Epstein cover up.

If Republicans govern by poll and fail to grab this moment, they will own it.

The law is clear — every single furloughed federal employee is entitled to back pay — period, full stop.

Under President Trump, we have empowered and supported our law enforcement to do their job and they have delivered.
