This is a five-alarm fire moment for democracy. Step one to stopping Trump is securing a big win for the Virginia Democratic ticket in 2025 and step two is taking back Congress in 2026.

Tonight, northern Virginians have sent a very powerful message: The reckless Trump agenda must come to an end.

I’m honored & humbled to have earned the Democratic nomination for the district I’ve spent my career serving.

This victory was powered by neighbors, volunteers, and supporters who believe in protecting our democracy, defending our freedoms, and delivering for working families.

I ripped it up and put it in the trash can. I didn’t think it deserved a response.
