I’ve visited with the president already about this federal disaster declaration that the governor was going to sign here this morning, and he has indicated that he will honor that.

We will not stop today or tomorrow, we will stop when it’s finish.

When Texas faces a challenge, we come together, we unite.

This is a time when we, as a state, need God more than ever.

The one thing I hear the most are the prayers that are being sent for those who are in harm’s way.

I am signing a disaster declaration to ensure counties have access to every tool, strategy, and personnel that the State of Texas can provide to them, which will be limitless.

We know that everyone wants more warning time, and that’s why we’re working to upgrade the technology that’s been neglected for far too long to make sure families have as much advance notice as possible.

This is contrary to the United States and Kentucky Constitutions, which recognize three equal branches of government.

We will find every one of them.
