Look, you got to jump through bureaucratic hoops with this process. It’s just is what it is. And our folks did that very, very well. And so, that was submitted last night. They have it and we expect a decision on that very, very quickly.

It’s really odd. You’ll have people get elected to Congress having never shown any investment acumen ever in their life, and then all of a sudden they become Warren Buffett on steroids.

I think people did take precautions, and I think the local officials did a really good job of helping spread the word.

At the same time, I mean, we’ve had some [storms] where there’ve been a lot more [deaths].

Right now, 93% of traffic signals are operational in storm impacted areas, including 320 that are operating on temporary general generator power.

Fortunately, they weren’t needed for a lot of rescue missions, ’cause that demand wasn’t there, but they’ve already cleared 1,700 miles of roadway.

Walton County is now up to 80% restored, remaining customers are expected to have power tonight into early tomorrow.

We now have essentially full restoration in Bay County, Okaloosa is over 96% restored, and Washington County’s over 91% were restored.

As of this morning, all state-owned bridges are safe and have been reopened for travel. Crew finished inspecting all the coastal bridges by 0600 this morning.

But our resources are prepared in the event that the need arises. Particularly with respect to any flooding that may occur on the back end of this storm — and we’re likely to continue to see in some areas water levels continue to rise.

I know that this was a storm that had a broad impact. It’s not just Okaloosa County, where it made landfall, and we understand that there was damage that stretches, really, from the Alabama-Florida line all the way into the Far Eastern…

But in terms of some of the other storms we’ve had, (when) we’ve had to really mobilize, massive search and rescue, and bring people out of very perilous situations — fortunately, that has not been something that’s been requested of us.

There’s obviously damage. There’s obviously debris.

It's a major hurricane. And it's going to potentially do a lot of damage.

Folks who are in the path of this storm should know, this is not a random tropical system.

Assume you’re going to lose power.
