The Shenandoah Valley helped shape our nation’s history, and preserving these battlefields will ensure that future generations can better understand the sacrifices and defining moments that took place there during the Civil War.

We’re glad that the Senate advanced our bipartisan, bicameral legislation to help pave the way for a new road in and out of Wintergreen and improve safety.

“Wintergreen residents and visitors only have one road to enter and exit, creating a serious public safety risk in the event of a natural disaster or another crisis,” said the senators.

I’m thrilled that United Airlines is making a significant investment to accelerate improvements at Dulles Airport.

These investments by United and MWAA will help Dulles service almost double the number of planes, passengers, and visitors.

I urge my colleagues to join me in getting this bill across the finish line and bringing clarity and relief to taxpayers in Virginia and across the country.

I’m thrilled that several of my proposals have passed out of the Finance Committee and can now be considered by the whole Senate.

Taxpayers shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get answers to basic questions about their taxes.

This is a big day for West Virginia. This bill would add critical Civil War sites in our Eastern Panhandle to the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District.
