We’ve been strengthening our human services division, and I think that you will very likely, in the upcoming month or two, start to see, I think, a fairly robust legislative initiative to address some of the issues.

It’s very difficult and so heartbreaking to see what happens in some of these individual circumstances, and it’s awful, and we should try to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

We certainly want to get to the bottom of things.

Today is a BIG win for female athletes all across this country. I’m proud West Virginia had the courage to lead the way.

Years ago, as Attorney General of West Virginia, I brought this case to the Supreme Court because I knew that protecting women’s sports was consistent with the Constitution and a matter of basic fairness.

We need to unrig the system, and deliver the big solutions that Coloradans deserve.

The West has already demonstrated that they can do transmission better and faster, and that demonstration means that we can alleviate some of the consternation about what is possible and what isn’t.

But stopping Trump is just the beginning.

To your supporters, I hope you will join our fight.

I want to thank every voter who once again put their trust in me.

Because the perseverance is what really brought us to this day.

We don’t know when. This week, we’re seeing extraordinary weather across the country that’s going to be hitting us in a few days, and so we just have to be ready.

We’re making a smart, long-term investment that will lower costs for families, strengthen our workforce, and ensure this support is available for generations to come.

We can maintain the shelters, but if we can keep people from having to need a shelter, or help people get into more permanent housing, that is going to be important.

I need the Legislature to be more serious than they already are about the eviction prevention work and the rehousing piece.

Homelessness is a challenge as complex as the people experiencing it, and there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution.

What we want is for the state to pass a budget that invests in our people.

To provide a permanent, common-sense solution.

The court decision provides important legal clarity and affirms that states have the authority to protect fair competition in girls’ sports.

This budget runs towards our toughest problems, not away from them. It’s the most fiscally responsible budget passed in decades and invests in the priorities that matter most to working families.

I want to thank the Idaho Legislature and Representative Barbara Ehardt in particular for her leadership on this issue of great importance to female athletes across Idaho and the nation.

I’d be surprised if we get a few years down the road, and other states aren’t starting to follow this model.
