I think Congress recognized that in SAFETEA-LU when it required the FTA to advance it to preliminary engineering within 90 days.

We are reaching capacity on the current tunnel underneath the Hudson River.

Congress made it very clear here that it wanted to move this forward, at least for preliminary purposes.

I am concerned that if we do not do it in that timeframe then we will miss a window as it relates to the appropriation process.

I have introduced legislation with Senator John McCain, the National Commission on Health Care Act (S. 2007), which will undertake a fresh review of health care in the U.S.

It's really important that we as people of faith enlarge the debate in this country. It's been too narrow for too long now.

It appears that they have no unifying position and they have no plan to lead to victory in Iraq.

The American flag is a monument, a symbol of our freedom, our country, and our way of life. Why in the world would we refuse to protect it against desecration?

I don't put it beyond Republicans to call General Casey old cut and run General George Casey, totally inappropriate but that won't stop them.

Put it beyond the Republicans to call General Casey old, Cut and Run General George Casey. Totally inappropriate, but that won't stop him.

These terms that my friends like to throw around, cut and run, tax and spend. The American people know what's going on here. They know what's going on.

If another attack occurs because of this information going out and giving the terrorists at least a leg up in regards to what they know and not know and changing their method of operation. If that attack comes, the people who have written…
