These are all important goals and I appreciate everyone here for all of your hard work on behalf of our Nation's veterans.

This legislation would mandate that servicemembers be given the choice to take one of the tracks as part of the mandatory portion of TAP, and will assist them in meeting their specific transition goal.

it makes no sense when you have no correlation to violent crime that these individuals--I understand if we are picking out people who are mentally impaired and we need to get much more aggressive in that regard, not only in this situation…

Congratulations on being nominated once again to serve as the Director of the Indian Health Service.

I think most reasonable people would agree that after 136 years, it is time for a new clinic.

In September 2010, members of this Committee requested a comprehensive investigation of potential substandard health care services and mismanagement of all Indian Health Service facilities.

This 137 years is bringing up that average.

If contract health services are intended to provide care and extend life, then shouldn't these rates be considered in determining the need for contract health funding?

It seems to me that now given the technology, particularly the distance learning, that the marginal cost of a military student is very close to zero.

We could come in and say, 'There is a new max.' Or, we could come in and say, 'There has to be a correlation.'
