We saw Joe Biden try to float one of those earlier this week on Iraq. They can't be the party of no forever.

What does $100 buy you? Two tanks of gas, if you're lucky? Is that the best we can do in Washington, D.C., and then say adios, voters, see you in November? We've taken care of the problem? Well, we certainly have not.

The big issues like should we increase worker visas? Should we increase the ratio of green cards? What do we do about the 12 million illegal aliens in this country? How do we deal with these things? These are all imperfect answers that…

Are people on Capitol Hill being pushed apart or brought together by the demonstrations? Have they been helpful or hurtful?

I think the American people don't feel good about a protest that says we don't have to comply with American law.

I personally believe very, very fervently that they have helped picture this issue in the minds of the American people in a positive fashion.

What oil company likes lower prices? And we have two oil men in the White House. So, they understand that oil men don't like lower prices.

It wasn't clear exactly what the message was. And I think in some ways it tended to polarize people.

Isn't it curious, as you drive around your hometown, that all the prices on all the pumps seem to go up at the same time and come down at the same time?

Consumers are confused and angry as to why these prices are occurring now. Their anger is stoked by reports of the high salaries and retirement packages being handed out to executives.

What we need to do here, instead of pointing fingers and demagoguing the issue, is to understand economics and appreciate where the real problem is.

One language to unify us as a nation, one language so we could all speak with one another, and that language is English.

Folks, on the other side of the aisle have simply said no to more energy independence, no to more energy production.

Nobody would run their household this way. No business runs this way. This is a gimmick, under which we can disguise how much we put this country in debt.

Well, we make decisions up here, you know, irrespective of who's at the White House. And I think this has a lot of merit.

That's why we need reform. Nobody knows. At least, I don't know. That's why we need earmark reform.

Gasoline and gasoline prices is the issue that the American people want to address.
