What we do at NIH... leaves a legacy that just cannot be expressed in monetary terms.

We do not pay Head Start teachers well enough.

That is what the Head Start program is for.

I just hope that within our budget confines that we can move ahead more aggressively on this whole area of autism than we ever have before.

That's a big concern to me.

Now, that would be an interesting epidemiological study. To compare what we're doing here to other countries, and to see if there's any correlation.

I'm wondering, have you looked at that? Is there something there?

I'm hoping we can find some innovative ways to expand the spectrum of services for children who are going to need much more.

So to get a whole picture of what is happening, obviously, graduation rates are important.
