The Spruce No. 1 permit is one of the first examples of steps that the EPA has taken to STOP irresponsible mining practices which were ignored during the Bush Administration.

The reason that coal has been on a massive decline in recent years has less to do with President Obama than with the inability of the coal industry to innovate and its inability to compete.

We just across the board had a 15 percent reduction in our electricity rates. That is without coal.

Let's be honest. That is welfare for coal executives making rate payers pay 30 percent more. That is just wrong.

They said no. They said no. They said no over and over again to innovation.

We want the coal companies to innovate. We do not wish the miners ill by any means.

We were offering the same opportunity to the coal industry in the Waxman-Markey bill.

For the first three months of 2012, coal only produced 36 percent of the electricity in the country.

Again, the coal industry now has 75,000 workers, but the wind industry has 75,000 workers and the solar industry has 100,000 workers.

Peabody Coal has done a disservice to its workers.

Waste! The CBO now estimates that @BarackObama's stimulus cost $831B and a ridicuous $4.1M per job created http://t.co/acb1EiXg

Now @BarackObama is telling donors he will need to 'revisit' healthcare in his 2nd term http://t.co/h2xe7VHT

Over $1T in annual deficit spending and adding over $6T to the debt for what? May jobless numbers are horrendous. The great Obama recovery.

Mr. Chair, I rise today in support of the bipartisan Grimm Amendment on Project Labor Agreements, or PLAs. In construction, contractors often do not have a permanent workforce. This makes it hard to predict the length and cost of a…

Madam Chairman, I thank the chairman for the hard work on this vital appropriations bill. I met with some veterans back in Butler on Tuesday morning, and their concern is with the Butler campus and the building of a new health care center…

The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term President.
