Ultimately, this needs to be repealed. It is creating great anxiety in the marketplace.

We exist to secure two fundamental principles: first, Americans have the right to know that the money Washington takes from them is well spent and, second, Americans deserve an efficient, effective Government that works for them.

Quite frankly, EPA's implementation of the RFS is galling.

The stakes are simply too high for inaction, which could cost consumers millions of dollars, place at risk small engines and automobiles, and unnecessarily burden an already shaky economy.

EPA's actions to approve E15 despite scientific evidence showing millions of automobiles could face engine and fuel system damage is an unnecessary risk to consumers, to automobiles, and to small engines.

What happens when we get forced into the blend wall, we have to make decisions about what we do with the product.

So when does this get resolved from the EPA?

The Government says go ahead; the manufacturers say at your own risk.

What I can tell you, congressman, is if one believes that you can take a Government mandate and force the creation of a technology, which I believe is a silly notion.

I take it at my own risk. If my vehicle breaks down, I am on my own.

Today, on behalf of a grateful State, I rise to honor Scott County Sheriff Cody Carpenter and Arkansas Game and Fish wildlife officer Joel Campora, who died heroically last week trying to save their fellow Arkansans from flash floods…

Mr. President, I certainly yield back to my friend, but I just want to indicate that is what we have been working on doing, and we do, in fact, have objections from various Members for various reasons. But we have been spending our time…

Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Committee on Armed Services be authorized to meet during the session of the Senate on June 4, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered. Committee on…

Madam President, I thank the Senator from Oregon for his advocacy on so many important policies in this legislation. We worked together closely on forest fires. Senator Merkley and I have been on the phone many times. He wanted to make…

Madam President, I absolutely understand Senator Merkley's concerns about the issue and the concerns of many people about this issue. There has been a long-running understanding that we should not be legislating on appropriations, and I…

I object on behalf of Senator Landrieu. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection is heard.

Reserving the right to object, I will object, Mr. President, but I would like to ask my friend, given all the amendments, if we were able to accept all of his amendments would he be supporting the bill?
