Madam Speaker, at this time, I yield 1 minute to the gentleman from Nebraska (Mr. Fortenberry).

Madam Speaker, I yield myself such time as I may consume. I have to tell you, Madam Speaker, so often we come to the floor and we will hear Members say, we are doing this for the children or that for the children, and I have to tell you…

Madam Speaker, at this time, I yield 3 minutes to one of our great pro-life advocates, Mrs. Black from Tennessee.

I yield 15 seconds to myself to respond. A USA Today-Gallup poll: 64 percent, abortions should not be permitted in the second 3 months of pregnancy; 80 percent, in the third 3 months. The polling company on March 3, 2013: 63 percent of…

Madam Chairman, I yield myself 15 seconds. When we talk about what is dangerous and wrong, let me tell you what is dangerous and wrong: condoning the actions of Kermit Gosnell or Doug Karpen or what transpired in New Mexico or what we…

Madam Speaker, at this time, I yield 3 minutes to the gentlelady from Missouri (Mrs. Hartzler).

Madam Speaker, at this time I yield 1 minute to the gentleman from Louisiana (Mr. Scalise), who chairs the Republican Study Committee.

I do think the date and service issue does need to be fixed, and I do think that we need to look at this issue of how does airline consolidation impact pensions and pension obligations.

I think your conclusion is the right conclusion that anybody would do something that is in the interest of the business in getting rid of the less profitable route.

What we need to do now is increase the number of people being able to come into our nation's capital and come here and visit here, spend their money here, and learn about our government.

But the reason why someone would look at divestiture is it is not some policy. It is about competition, and it is about too much concentration at DCA, and what issues for the consumer are being left unprotected.

If the Department of Justice approves the proposed merger between American Airlines and US Airways, the new American Airlines, it will not only be the Nation's largest air carrier, but the world's largest air carrier.

I applaud, by the way, American Airlines and US Airways for not choosing to dump everything on the government and to find a way to work it out.

And did the Department of Justice at that time consider Dulles or Baltimore as substitutes for consumers, or was that separate?

I think we have raised some important questions.

So from a consumer's point of view, we end up with no net new routes.
