Well, that statement has been made, and now we can only wait and see.

We the people going to the polls to determine our political destiny.

For your devotion to America, I salute you.

Those who live today remember those who do not.

Those who know freedom remember today those who gave up life for freedom.

We think on their lives.

We see these men and know them once again—and know how much we owe them, how much they have given us, and how much we can never fully repay.

As they thought of us then, so, too, we think of them now, with love, with devotion, and with faith.

Today, Veterans Day, we take that moment to embrace the gentle heroes of Vietnam and of all our wars.

Who can doubt that the cause for which our men fought was just?

You must never again be sent to fight and die unless we are prepared to let them win.

Our liberties, our values, all for which America stands is safe today because brave men and women have been ready to face the fire at freedom's front.

Even if they were not our own, we could not forget them.
