Former senators

I wrote the book for many reasons, but primarily to remind us how unprecedented that election was.

This is far worse than anything said in a college group chat.

I don't think we should swap the pain of some Americans for others.

We all have more power than we think. We just have to use it.

I think there's a lot of us that really think the Senate was designed in the first place to find a long term, stable solution to problems, so we'll listen to what the president has to say.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight

They’ll leave out the hard truths: Chuck Schumer and the Democratic establishment are losing relevance, AIPAC and the pro-Israel lobby have become toxic forces in Democratic politics, voters are fed up with the gerontocracy and political…

We don’t need to speculate about the dangers to our democracy. We don’t need to wonder about whether vulnerable people are going to be hurt, or ask ourselves how much more coarse and mean our culture can become. We’ve witnessed it…

The election results ought to send a much-needed bolt of lightning to Donald Trump that he should meet with us to end this crisis and his shutdown, which he admits hurt him badly in the election.

I hope it ends it this week. Frankly, I see it from my folks. I was greeting voters yesterday.

Our economy loses $122 billion a year because of affordability or accessibility of child care.

Get the darn thing open. Deal with the health care cliff. Don't let people go hungry, when we've got money set aside on SNAP.

Let's spread the word, because again, getting this done in the statute is one thing.

We're fighting for you. And so, we're gonna keep working and keep making sure that we deliver solutions.

Get the money out to people in need, sit down with us, get this resolved this week, and let's get everybody back to work.
