It seems to me some days that I'm the only one here who can count to 50 in this town. But we don't have the votes to get rid of the filibuster. And we aren't flipping 10 Democrats to vote for the SAVE America Act.

I feel like we're trying to put 20 pounds of potatoes in a 10-pound bag.

We want to fund the government and avoid a shutdown.

This resolution keeps the government open for business.

Trade should be fair, not one-sided, and it’s refreshing to have a president who isn’t afraid to hold our trading partners accountable,

Decline is a choice, and President Trump is taking action to restore American prosperity,

In recent years, our trading partners have taken advantage of access to American markets while unfairly crowding American products out of their own countries,

Previous generations of Americans gave us an economic superpower; it’s our job to preserve what they built and to leave America better than we found it for our children and grandchildren,

It doesn’t take a fortune cookie to figure it out. Here in Tennessee we’re going to stop communist China and protect Tennessee land.

As governor, I’ll deport illegals, stop the flow of drugs and drug money. We will crack down on Cartels, restrict cash transfers to drug havens and hit criminals and illegals where it hurts — in their wallets.

I am humbled and honored that you've chosen me as your Republican nominee for Governor. Together, we've taken a major step toward that goal. I won't let you down. On to November.

There's a big deal, which is the one that has to do with their nuclear ambitions. They can never have a nuclear weapon. So the denuclearization of Iran is the ultimate deal.

You'll forgive me if I'm not terribly eager to give them $300 billion to facilitate their carrying out their stated intent of murdering us.

Everyone supports rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government, but DOGE was a slapdash and deceptive effort that misled the American people while doing real damage to the government's ability to serve them.

It's still a work in progress.

There's still a lot of stuff that's piled up, trying to get through.

Criminal contempt is punitive. It does not compel a witness to answer questions or produce the documents we'd all like to see.

We only have one question: Whether to hold a witness responsible for his contempt toward Congress.

Holding a witness in contempt is a serious thing, and it should be rare.

But I am most definitely not an isolationist. It is a dangerous world, and it is our military's job to prevent enemies of America from killing Americans.

I disagree with both the interventionist and the isolationists. I think the interventionists are too quick to send the Marines. That's their solution for everything.
