What are we going to do, deport these 11 million, find them and deport them? We don't have the resources. We don't have the time.

Well, it's important that we treat this as a national issue. It shouldn't get so partisan, as it has, because you are talking about people. We're talking about securing our borders.

But, politically, if you look at most Democrats, there's strong support for border security, plus a legalization plan.

I think what you have to do is be realistic. This is going to be a messy problem to resolve, but let's do it efficiently and let's do it in a humane way with a bunch of benchmarks.
