As I have said before, there can be no margin of error when it comes to vehicle safety.

It is unacceptable that there continue to be vehicle owners that have not been notified of a defect or serious safety risk because they cannot be located.

I am happy to see this commonsense policy moving forward.

The Special Needs Trust Fairness Act will correct this injustice.

This important legislation will correct an error in the law that prevents capable individuals with disabilities from creating their own special needs trust.

The videos have been denounced as a total crock, distorted, unfair, dishonest, grossly misleading, and politically irresponsible.

I just think it is so irresponsible, you know, to use this type of material, false, false material, false videos, inaccurate videos, misleading videos, to make any case at what is supposed to be a legislative hearing.

Does it seem misleading and fundamentally dishonest to remove statements like that?

We are not looking to make money from this. Our goal is to keep access available.

This is not a service they should be making money from.

Nobody should be selling tissue. That is just not the goal here.

What they actually show is something very different.

In Hidalgo County alone, community health centers said they would require a 500 percent increase in capacity for women's health.

If Planned Parenthood were not available to Medicaid patients, unfortunately, unintended pregnancies and the number of abortions would increase dramatically.

The result of giving the States this unlimited power would be that they would be free to wreak havoc on programs that advance women's health.

The bills before the committee today go dangerously beyond what the law currently provides.

Republicans must end this extreme agenda to roll back the clock on women's rights.

I can't stand by and allow this committee and this Congress to support a witch hunt against Planned Parenthood.

Make no mistake, Republican policies under consideration here today would roll back the clock on longstanding provider choice protections that allow a woman to see a doctor that she trusts.

This concerted effort by Republicans under the guise of falsified videos is not about strengthening current law. It is about restricting access to women's health care.

It is a real shame that we are here today to continue what is nothing more than a Republican assault on women's rights.

Using women's health as political football in order to advance an extreme agenda is nothing new, but this week's efforts are a new low.
