Why not take the $200,000 on interest--and we know in this room it is going to be a lot more once that back money comes in--pay all the claims, and then go back to the providers on the unclaimed claims and maybe let them reimburse you?
Don't you think you should have seen this memo that had allegations of $6 billion in improper spending, most of it directly beneath your purview?
And after 8 weeks since the memo was sent that they indicated that there was a mockery of spending rules, I guess I'm still stunned that Mr. Murray was unaware of the memo till this morning.
I am worried about the veteran that waited 61 days, or 90 days, or 120 days.
I would argue and go back to this issue with Secretary Shinseki and others, I think many times they are let down by those around them.
H.R. 1015 will make tremendous strides at holding accountable the bad actors that attempt to defraud veteran-owned small businesses.
