This is inexcusable. To address this situation, I introduced H.R. 4481, the Veterans' Affairs Employee Accountability (VAEA) Act.

I do not know what private sector company would still be in business today if they required 125 days to process a claim.

We have heard Secretary Shinseki state his goal of reducing the turnaround time for claims processing to be no more than 125 days.

And I just don't see, personally, how this is going to work, considering there has been no model set forth to this point that has done that.
