To what extent do the reported readiness levels of installations take into consideration the condition of their facilities?

What specific examples can you provide of facility conditions affecting the readiness of installations to carry out their assigned missions?

We are at a point where we are going to do less with less.

So, not only is it a situation where the technology does exist--in fact, the industry is pushing the envelopes of technology...

I can tell you that we feel very strongly that energy production in Lease 220 can take place safely, especially at 50 miles offshore.

There is not a single company that is going to go to their shareholders and say, 'We are going to invest money into an area of exploration where we have no certainty about being able to develop.'

We ought to be able to develop Lease 220 as part of that OCS effort.

We have to create some long-term certainty here.

Increased money delivers increased capability and provides better training, readiness, and modernization.
