We will never forget the events, of course, of 9/11, and must be sure an attack on the United States and our interests abroad can never come from Afghanistan in the future.

I am concerned today about the announcement the President made. He decided to withdraw forces from Afghanistan on September 11.

The urgency to close the digital divide in rural America has never been more clear.

The events of the past year have affected virtually every sector of our economy. This is especially true for our farmers and ranchers.

SOUTHCOM is an extremely important area of operation that frequently doesn't get the priority it deserves because of conflicts in other areas of the world.
