Mr. Chair, this amendment increases funding for the National Guard's Counterdrug Program. We are very supportive of the counterdrug program. The bill in front of us increases funding at the same level that passed the House last year. That being said, I understand this program is very important to many Members, and I support this amendment to provide a modest increase. Mr. Chair, I ask my colleagues to support this amendment, and I yield back the balance of my time.
