Mr. Chair, I appreciate the gentlewoman's concerns. The Department is currently funding several research projects related to the potential health effects of open-air burn pits and burn pit exposure, such as pulmonary fibrosis, lung and respiratory issues, and metals toxicology. I believe this research is important. I don't have any objection to this amendment. Mr. Chair, I yield back the balance of my time.
