Summer Lynn Lee is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 34th District since January 1, 2019. Let me thank the Chairwoman and thank our witness, Commandant Papp, for his leadership and the leadership that has been given by the United States Coast Guard.
The American people wanted out of the Iraq wars; they want out of Afghanistan. But they also want those countries to remain strong.
Many of us would disagree but agree that we have issues in both of those places, Iraq and Afghanistan, that I think we now need to collaboratively come together.
I hope, in its conclusion, will emphasize that there is no partisanship in the issue of domestic and National security.
I think we would have wanted to reconsider our interpretation of what we did in that instance.
I truly believe in the message of the Statue of Liberty, which ultimately had the welcoming of those who were coming to this country for opportunity.
Wouldn't it be a problem to raise the standards, hurting other people just to try and weed out what may be an undocumented fear?
Isn't the credible fear process designed to weed out clearly non-meritorious, frivolous cases?
I think that is the basic point that we want to emphasize that we don't have an epidemic of abuse that can be documented.
I think the President is not violating his "take care" responsibilities by acting on the interpretation.
If your State does not have an exchange, just on practical English, it means that you in the State cannot comply.
The President is taking, within the context of the laws, the ability to implement to help the most vulnerable.
What is the constitutional gobbledygook talking about? They do not understand the difference between policy and the ability to do that?
If we would simply do our job, the relevance to the American people would exceed our expectation.
We have passed no legislation for the President to be able to implement in the first place.
Well, my passion is with those who are leaving. Thank you for being here, and I hope that we will come to an understanding----

I have always opposed this sequester, as it impacts the assets that, General, both you have and, Admiral, both you have.
