Thank you to all our witnesses for your powerful testimony.

Thank you, Senator Brown and Congresswoman Beatty, for inviting me to appear today; for all the work that you do and that your office does; for helping military families, military veterans, and surviving spouses.

Senator Brown will probably just single-handedly walk it through.

We introduced a bill to help veterans.

Having a voice like Senator Brown's voice there speaking up--he is making a difference.

Far too many of our veterans were not able to get up this morning.

We must do better about women's health and access for you as well.

We must do better for all veterans.

We have to make sure that we protect the G.I. Bill funds from institutions that would want to take those dollars and not provide appropriate education.

We must honor that obligation by providing the best benefits, the best education, the best health care possible.

Always make sure that you fight for those who fight for you.

So should we be looking at legislation to make that number more in line with today's cost of living?

I believe one of the ways we can really get companies to focus on cybersecurity is to put in place a system where there is a monetary penalty for each person's data that is breached.

That is simply unacceptable.

This is not a partisan issue. This is not about Democrats.

I find that appalling that they are ignoring a request to come before this committee.

So I want to know how you are going to continue that, improve that, so maybe when you come back and your expert team might have some females sitting behind you or people of color.

This was in part the brainchild of someone we all know who served so well in World War II, the legendary astronaut, former U.S. Senator from Ohio, John Glenn, a dear friend of mine, and who was also a constituent.

I join Mr. Stivers not only in mentioning and talking about all the great work that the Colonel Tom Moe has done, but also with us I want to recognize Guy Worley and Amy Taylor, who are the project managers for the museum and they are here…

I am very honored to be here and ask you for your consideration, because not only would this bill designate the Veterans Memorial and Museum being built, I must add, in my 3rd Congressional District in Ohio as a National Veterans Memorial…

Thank you, because we introduced the Beatty rule after the Rooney rule, and now we have a Black man for the first time, Chairman Bostic out of Atlanta, who is on the National Federal Reserve Board.

We cannot talk about income equality without looking at the disparities and the discrepancies in household wealth among African Americans and minorities.

I have to be that voice for Black people and for minorities who get caught in the gap.

I want to thank her for that, and I am going to start with common ground.

I believe it is the wrong choice for investors, for consumers, for entrepreneurs, and for the American economy.
