Mark Meadows is a former U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 11th congressional district, serving from 2013 to 2020. A member of the Republican Party, he was a prominent figure in the House Freedom Caucus, advocating for limited government and fiscal conservatism. We have reason to believe that the number of overstays, if you include all the categories, is closer to 3/4 of a million versus the 500,000 that has been indicated.
the best way to address it is to put companies that do the kind of, to use a tweeted-out word, imbecile pricing strategy, is to put you out of business.
this Republican from western North Carolina is going to work with Democrats from Michigan to make sure that not only you are held accountable but the State is held accountable
No matter how beautiful the strategy, we must occasionally look at the results.
I have been visiting Federal employees, and you know what I constantly hear is that there is a double standard for the people at the top and the rank-and-file Federal workers.
Mr. Chairman, I want to say thank you for holding this hearing, and, obviously, it is critical...
So when are you going to overcome these obstacles? Because the chairman pointed out from a standpoint of the results, as Winston Churchill would say, is we haven't seen a whole lot of them, so the point of your office is what?
So, Mr. Chairman, you know that you have my full support, and I will continue to work with you as you continue to illuminate this particular situation.
