Mark Meadows is a former U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 11th congressional district, serving from 2013 to 2020. A member of the Republican Party, he was a prominent figure in the House Freedom Caucus, advocating for limited government and fiscal conservatism. During his tenure, he was known for his strong support of the Trump administration's policies and initiatives.
The reason I come there is because what Mr. Lynch was talking about is, if indeed the worst place in the world is Syria, what we would see is coming across our southern border this mass infiltration from Syria.
Cuba is an egregious example of a nation being given an unwarranted passing grade because of other non-human trafficking considerations.
Cuba also harbors criminals--just ask the family of Werner Foerster, a New Jersey State Trooper who was gunned down at a traffic stop by Joanne Chesimard.
Cuba's actions prove once again that lifting accountability only emboldens evil.
Just read the report. The report leads you to the inevitable conclusion--stamp it Tier 3 egregious violator.
When we play politics with the TIP Report, those nations who see the need to become more aggressive in combating human trafficking and go from Tier 3 to Tier 2 put actions with their words.
Let me tell you, what it smells like here is that you are not being truthful with this committee.
So your testimony is you meet with 100 percent of the people that ask? How do you do that with a staff of 45 people?
Ultimately ---- if someone is not complying with a subpoena, it is not the general counsel, it is not your staff, it is you because your name is on the subpoena.
