Betty Louise McCollum is a U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 4th congressional district, serving since January 3, 2001. A member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, she has focused her legislative efforts on education, healthcare, and environmental issues. Throughout her tenure, McCollum has been an advocate for policies that support public education funding, access to affordable healthcare, and initiatives aimed at combating climate change. She has also been involved in various committees and has played a role in shaping national policy on these critical issues.

Democratic Congresswoman Betty McCollum has a bill with 18 co-sponsors to prohibit Israel from using USAID from military detention of Palestinian children, the destruction of Palestinian homes or the annexation of Palestinian lands.
The Chaplain Corps is really, really important. I know that from Guard deployments to being with Active Duty in that, the work that they do is really important.
So as we go into Memorial Day, we remember those who died in service to this country, but we thank those, like yourself, who are working to make our environment safer.
I also continue to have serious concerns about China's investments as well as their aggressive and coercive behavior in European countries.
Just for the record, I too am disappointed we don't have a full budget in front of us.
I know my colleagues and I share concerns about the current situation in Ukraine, and we need to hear your assessment of Russia's intentions.
We need to remember that we had COVID. You know, it is still among us, affecting some of our productivity.
