What does it say to their constituents that they would prefer to make some kind of vain moral gesture by not voting?
I cannot surrender or dilute the sanctity of a single vote for changes in our laws that risk undermining the integrity of our elections.
we want to make sure that every single person, as Republicans, Democrats, but most of all because we are Americans, let's make sure that everybody gets a chance to cast that vote.
I am committed, as I have always been, to ensuring that every eligible American is able to freely vote.
Designating this site would commemorate an important piece of history as a public reminder of how far we have come and how far we have yet to go.
