In some cases, in small and rural practices, as we have discussed, it will drive physicians out of business. So access is destroyed for those patients in those areas.
I am hopeful that the OIG will give us a report that actually reflects the sincere problems that are out there on the ground.
What we are doing is taking more money out of the pockets of American people to do not what they want but what the government is forcing them to do.
I would ask the American people to ask themselves, for whom? For whom is the cost less? And the answer to that question is the government.
What we are trying to get to here is how to address the law and make the policy at the Federal level consistent with patient-centered health care.
I would just note with some amusement that all, except for Mr. Blumenauer, who used his entire time, all of my friends on the other side who asked questions of the panelists...
