This is a useless document, that's a Member card, except for charging trillions of dollars on it when we vote.

Part of it is Congress, and we do need to change Title 44. It's got to be changed.

It was the biggest joke in the world.

It's unbelievable, again, and we force people to take it.

The TWIC card is an--I'd be ashamed to come and say I had anything to do with the TWIC card.

I have never seen a more screwed up program in my entire life.

Today we still don't have that.

That seems very low.

These can do as much damage. And, you know, I don't need another test to show what would happen.

I can almost predict there will be one. There are just so many of these now flying, that it is almost inevitable.

What will probably propel this--maybe actually propel your schedule--is going to be a very serious accident, an incident.

We are behind schedule, obviously.

The legislation that we passed in 2012, the FAA Modernization Reform Act, had a directive to FAA.

I think sometimes we have a responsibility in Congress to make certain things happen.

This is all an educating process, as you can see, for me, for Members of Congress, and the public.

It is an exciting hearing for me. Rarely around here can you make things happen, and it takes a while.

Well, just so we get it done by next October.

This is going to evolve. This is going to take a long time.

But I think that would be an exciting development.

Thank you for your testimony and also for your leadership on this issue.

I want to have a practical pathway to get this done--not overbearing but also something to hold your feet to the fire.

There is some exciting technology. I took Mr. DeSaulnier up to New York, and we saw the using of the electronic pass in their realtime traffic management system.

We must be able to allow for a bridge to that environment as new technologies come to light, while remaining cognizant of consumer privacy.

I have a $2.4 billion one in central Florida.

I have mandated in the legislation all three lanes stay free.
