I would like to strongly encourage that the Lake Baldwin VA facility's resources remain available to provide medical care to our veterans.

Please know that I will work with you to ensure that our veterans receive the best possible care.

This Bill will transfer the nursing home facility on the campus of the Lake Baldwin VA Clinic to the State of Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs.

Thank you Mr. Chairman and allow me to commend you for your leadership and tireless support of our nation's veterans.

We are going to transfer the property, the nursing facility to State VA and they will operate it.

The quickest way to get this activated is to transfer it to the State of Florida. That is what this bill does.

The simple proposal H.R. 4056, and that would take an existing nursing facility that has been vacated...

Nobody has to do it, but letting the states know that it is there.

We want to make certain that you have adequate resources and personnel.

I think it would be very helpful if we look at this, where our success is, where we can get you out of the red tape business.

If you could do it there, you should be able to do it anywhere.

I don't mind giving DOT additional personnel, but also our intent was to try to devolve as much as we could of the red tape.

But back to Mr. Swonke, tell us your experience and where you have been.

I don't like that at all.

Maybe we need to get an inspector general to look at what is going on.

Well, only larger the last week?

That is not good news.

Well, and that is another good question for these guys is finding out how many TIFIA programs they had, how many people were involved, and how much was spent down and how much was unspent.

As the federal Government, my philosophy is the Federal taxpayers already paid for them so we shouldn't be charging for them again.

The government usually overlegislate and then the government usually overregulates.

We still don't have industry-wide standards or protections on hacking, on privacy.

Congress has set no penalties. We haven't held the agency's feet to the fire.

We really don't have a standard, we don't have the ability to prevent that developed, do we?

We try to act responsibly and we expect the agencies to do the same thing.

So far no one with malintent has hacked, but you could probably stop an engine, you could disable brakes or steering.
