I think we need to get a warning. It's not that many coming in.

I think that the Zika virus is probably one of the more difficult health challenges that the Nation and the world have faced probably since the Ebola crisis.

If we lose our edge here, we will lose manufacturing. We will lose technology. We will lose opportunities for employment.

Everybody is in agreement that FAA, as it is currently structured to oversee and operate air traffic control, is dysfunctional.

The working conditions for our air traffic controllers are shameful.

I don't think I have ever seen the committee treated with such contempt.

I tell you, you are not being picked on alone.

You know, just for members' information, we called the superintendent's office to see if this was safe.

For that much money, we poisoned the kids in Flint.

Again, it's just very, very, very, very, very, very frustrating.

But you can set standards for the records.

But we're still 2 years out. But you're accepting the flawed IDs now.

I can tell the committee and staff. We looked at it, we had a whistleblower, equipment was sold to them, had that capability.

Is there any progress you can report, speaking of liquid bombs?

So the government failed. And the government to me is failing to take steps.

I remember when we looked at it after 9/11, the direction to pilots, and we actually read from the manual for dealing with hijacking, was to land the plane in Havana and contact the Swiss consul there.

It was the failure of the government to put in policies for what could not be brought onboard.

We don't even know--well, 10 percent of them we don't have Social Security numbers of.

We have no biometric. We don't know who those people are.

Do things change much?

But we have--we don't have that in place.

That's troubling, even when you have the systems.

And here we are in 2016, 15 years after 9/11, we don't know who's going in and who's coming out.
