Richard Milhous Nixon was the 37th President of the United States, serving from January 20, 1969, until his resignation on August 9, 1974. A member of the Republican Party, he previously held the office of Vice President under Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1953 to 1961. Nixon's presidency is noted for significant foreign policy achievements, including the historic opening of relations with China and the policy of détente with the Soviet Union. Domestically, he is recognized for establishing the Environmental Protection Agency and implementing various social programs.
Now I suppose somebody will say now, 'Mr. Nixon, you talked about a bedtime story. How about this one? Is this one?'
At the present time the choice is clear and it's bigger than whether you're a Democrat or a Republican.

A mistake which might be perfectly well intentioned, from inexperience could plunge this Nation into war.
I want to thank you for coming out in such tremendous numbers to welcome us as we come through this part of Illinois.
We're the strongest nation in the world, and if we're firm for the right as they are firm for the wrong America and the cause of peace and freedom, for which we stand, will prevail.
In every way I can spell it out that is the way to handle these problems.
The way to correct them is to move forward with faith and confidence in the greatest country in the world.
We are a progressive people who want to go forward and we know the way.
