U.S. State Attorneys General

I was raised by people who understood that the right to vote was never simply given. Generations of Americans had to sacrifice, organize, and show extraordinary courage to claim that right.

In Virginia, the right to vote will be defended.

This work now has a permanent home, and a team focused every day on defending voting rights and enforcing Virginia law.

Without my office’s work, the city would have been able to get away with ignoring the Constitution’s requirements.

It will result in unnecessary costs passed onto Coloradans in higher electric bills and more pollution in the region.

I will tell you, as governor, when you’re at the table sitting with me, I will listen to what you think we need to do.

He’s clearly not helping. He wants me to lose.

I gleefully vote yes for this motion.

I was eager to get back to work and that I was reenergized to do the things the voters sent me to do.

Everything is on the table for me.

Presidents don’t decide elections. State attorneys general and the millions of eligible voters we represent will exercise our constitutional powers to help keep it that way.

Voters can do their part by exercising the right to elect their representatives.

If Trump attempts to intimidate or discourage eligible voters, or to obstruct the counting of votes or certification of the election, Democratic state attorneys general will take swift action.

Democratic state attorneys general are prepared, and have undertaken the largest multistate effort to protect the vote in modern American history.

We are going to win this race.
