We sued, we won, but now Trump is back at it again. His cruelty truly has no bounds.
The court made it clear that the HUD cannot impose illegal conditions that would have thrown people out on the streets and decimated housing supports nationwide.
We sued to stop these brainless bonuses, and so now the utilities are trying to strike down the law.
The bottom line is Connecticut families are paying way too much for their energy bills, and we’re going to keep fighting against every padded profit and unjustified cost.
The utilities want ratepayers to keep footing the bill for bonuses tied to actions the companies are required to do by law.
It’s over. Go home, Donald Trump. Don’t come back to the court again and cause trouble by sitting in the front row and making a spectacle of yourself.

This changes nothing about the law here in Connecticut, which states clearly that transgender girls are girls, and that every girl and every woman is entitled to protection against discrimination.
Ratepayers are footing the bill for a $4.5 million annual bonus to utilities for doing what they are already required to do by law.
These contracts are plainly unlicensed illegal gambling under time-worn state law, and we will aggressively defend Connecticut’s commonsense consumer protection laws.
